The fun adventure of Capy Planet - Our 3D printing fairy tale
On a winter night in 2023 with the aroma of hot cocoa, three young people who were obsessed with the cute expressions of Capybara sat around a 3D printer. When the first short-legged and cute Capybara rose from the printing platform, we knew: it was time for this healing creature to occupy the desks of earthlings.
As the global support group of Capybara, we try to design each character in a way that returns to innocence. Dali, an animation major, developed an exclusive "cute algorithm" to ensure that each Capybara has a rounded body that hits directly; modeler Ayang manifested them into a touchable ornament; media operator Xun presented the different ways of playing we designed on social platforms in the form of short videos.
On Capy Planet, 3D printing is not only a technology, but also a time machine that conveys innocence. The moment you unpack the package, you can hear our whispers hidden in every detail: "It doesn't matter if life is stuck occasionally, squint your eyes and bask in the sun like Capy!"
